Welcome to Wilderness International. Here you can find the latest information on our conservation projects in Canada’s Arctic and western coastal regions as well as our Student Exchange Programs between Canada’s Gwich'in and Cowichan tribes and students from Germany. You can directly help support our work by adopting a piece of wilderness, by participating in our “Take a Walk for the Wild“ events together with schools or by joining in our Youth Conservation Expedition Programs if there is one in your area.
"Taking part in the rainforest run really opened our eyes. It was impressive to see so many German students taking an interest in the rainforest and in the conservation within northern Canada. It no longer feels as though we're just a small, unknown town in the arctic, rather we're now part of a global movement."
Wade Vaneltsi, Student, 17, Gwich’in First Nation
“When you have undertaken a conservation expedition with Wilderness International and when you've been blessed with being able to see untouched natural beauty, you're more motivated and ready to stand up and act. We need to spread the word that: “Only together are we strong.“
Julia, Student, 17, German
