For many years, the VVO has supported the organization of transportation for the wilderness runs. It provides tickets so that our wilderness runners can get to the event locations comfortably and on time. In addition, it supports Wilderness International with communication, for example on the customer video screens, in the VVO-Magazin and on social media.
The Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe (VVO) and its 14 cooperating public transportation companies offer modern public transport network for residents and visitors to the region. The area covered by the network is about 4,800 square kilometers and includes Dresden, Meissen, eastern Saxon-Switzerland, Erzgebirge and the western part of Bautzen. The company’s 300 transportation lines on busses, streetcars, commuter rail and ferries and 3,800 stops provide for the transportation of more than 200 million guests every year. It is the VVO’s job to make using public transportation as easy as possible. It improves the connections between bus and train lines, creates a single ticket system, provides understandable information and customer-centric service.
