On the Lookout for the Magical Dream Tree – Day 6
Our day begins with a tasty breakfast on the banks of the crystal clear Little Toba River. Afterwards, we have some free time. Some of us go for a swim in the ice-cold water (8 degrees Celsius!), the others use it to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. After a late lunch (3 p.m.!) we go into to the forest.
Out here one simply forgets the time… That can happen. Here, one simply lives in the moment. In the woods, we are on the lookout for the „magical dream tree“. It’s allegedly an ancient giant maple which is about 500 years old.
It looks like it has thick towels of moss hanging over its branches. As I hug it, it occurs to me that I am only 16 years old, while this tree must have experienced so unbelievably much more than I have. The length of time it must have taken for one branch to turn into four is unfathomable!
We end this educational day with a pleasant dinner.
